Vesta Yanity

Vesta (McIntire) Yanity, 90, of Indiana, died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, at St. Andrews Village, Indiana.

She was born March 24, 1915, in Cochrans Mills, to George W. and Kathryn (Elgin) McIntire. She grew up in Burrell Township and moved to Indiana, where she lived for 47 years. She worked at the first A&P Grocery Store in Indiana in 1941 and was a teller at the Farmers Bank and Trust Co. for 26 years. She was a member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church. She was a charter member of the Evergreen Chapter of AARP 2581. Survivors include nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tracy E. Yanity; and two sisters, Ila Minteer and Mary E. McIntire. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Robinson-Lytle Funeral Home, Inc., 36 N. Seventh St., Indiana, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. John Erthein and the Rev. Dr. Richard Speer co-officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
