Margaret L. (Vogas) Allison

Margaret L. (Vogas) Allison, 96, of Mt. Pleasant RD1 (Norvelt), died Tuesday, April 16, 2002, in her home. She was born June 16, 1905, in Bradenville, a daughter of the late Paul Vogas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd N. Allison Sr., in 1979; three sisters, Annie Priestas, Mary Ray and Susan Meholic; a brother, John Vogas; and a son-in-law, John Christie, in 1975. She was the loving mother of Eugene Allison and his wife, Mildred ``Dude,' of Norvelt, Betty Christie of Norvelt, Floyd Allison Jr. and his wife, Charlotte, of Southwest, Dorothy Zruno and her husband, Joseph, of Greensburg and Geraldine Roadman and her husband, George, of Norvelt; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a number of great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Kurt F. Kusserow officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township. Sandra L. Hoffer, funeral director.
