George N. Salensky, 57, of Export, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, at home, while he was sitting in his chair drinking coffee. He was born Nov. 10, 1959, in Washington Township, a son of the late George and Bertha (Nemchek) Salensky. George was employed as a contractor by Steve Catranel. He was a life member of Slickville Sportsman's Club and a life member of the NRA. George was a former member of St. John Baptist de la Salle Catholic Church, Delmont. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Allen Salensky; sister, Georgia Rossi; and Karen Raupach, the mother of his son. George will be greatly missed by his loving family. He is survived by his son, Cody Salensky, of Export; stepchildren, Zachary, Robin and Jesse; companion, Lisa Zbikowsky "BBB"; and many nieces and nephews. He was the proud grandfather of Nyriah, Skylar, Nevaeh and Peighton.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC., 463 Athena Drive, Delmont, 724-468-1177. A blessing service for George will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. Interment in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont, will be private.
