Fred E. Davis West Mifflin Formerly of Dravosburg Fred Edward Davis, 71, of West Mifflin, formerly of Dravosburg, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at the Mt. Vernon of South Park Senior Living Center. He was born May 22, 1941, in McKeesport, to the late Clarence E. and June R. Boyd Davis. Fred was a Navy veteran having served in Vietnam and retired from faithful service to his country as a master chef. Following retirement, he worked on the City of Pittsburgh Public School lead investigative unit for the Allegheny County Health Department. Fred was a member of Dravosburg First Christian Church - Disciples of Christ and the Dravosburg American Legion Post No. 380. Fred is survived by his daughter, Sharon Rickman, of Greenwood, Ind.; son, Scott Davis (Rose Kaska), of Jefferson Hills; brother, James L. Davis, of Dravosburg; sister, Cheryl Dupak, of Dravosburg; grandchildren, Andrew (Yvonne) Smiley, of Elizabeth, Tenn., and Brandon Smiley, of Greenwood, Ind.; expectant great-grandson, Edward Smiley; also survived by additional loving family and friends. A memorial service will be held at a future time and date to be announced at the Drovosburg First Christian Church - Disciples of Christ. I.M.
