George E. Campbell Jr. Obituary
George E. Campbell Jr., 90, of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully Friday, Dec. 28, 2018, at UPMC McKeesport, surrounded by family. He was born June 26, 1928, in Monaca, a son of the late George E. and Anna S. (Johnson) Campbell. George was a retired business systems analyst for Westinghouse Telecomputer Center. He was a member of Norwin Christian Church, North Huntingdon, Polaris Lodge No. 375, F. and A.M., the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Pittsburgh and Syria Temple, and was an avid sports fan. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley (Baker) Campbell; his children, Carl E. Campbell and his wife, Virginia Johnson Campbell, of Wappingers Falls, N.Y., and Lynn A. Bell and her husband, Scott, of Hernando, Miss.; his grandsons, Hunter R. and Mitchell E. Bell; siblings, Donald A. Campbell, of North Huntingdon, and Ellen Jean Downes, of Elizabeth Township; also nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 521 Main St., Irwin, 724-863-1200, where a funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. with Pastor Joshua Persall officiating. Private interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Penn Hills.
