John W. Fetchen Obituary
John William Fetchen, 69, of Chambersburg, and formerly of Cranberry Township, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, Dec. 30, 2018, at Chambersburg Hospital. Born Nov. 29, 1949, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late John and Rose Rushby Fetchen. John was a graduate of Langley High School and attended the University of Pittsburgh. He was employed with Giant Eagle Markets Inc., retiring after 47 years. He volunteered with Habitat for Humanity; enjoyed woodcarving, camping and cruises; and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Morse Fetchen, whom he married March 31, 1972; two sons, John M. Fetchen (Jennifer), of Waynesboro, and Benjamin B. Fetchen (Jaclyn), of Finleyville; and his canine companion, Nicolai. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Roseann Fetchen.
Services and interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to THOMAS L. GEISEL FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, Chambersburg.
