Philomena "Minnie" McGee Kerlin, 95, of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully at home Monday, Dec. 31, 2018. She was born Jan. 12, 1923, in Smithfield and was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Ferrara) Vona. Minnie was a member of Calvary Church in North Huntingdon and was retired from the former Concordia Club in Pittsburgh. She is survived by daughters, Elizabeth L. "Dolly" (Paul) Schneider, of Elizabeth Township, and Carol (Lewis) Byers, of Versailles; sons, James H. McGee, of Baltimore, Md., and Daniel L. Kerlin, of North Huntingdon; grandchildren, Theresa L. Pollock, Paul Schneider Jr., Tracey (George) Thomas, Kristy Byers, Megan (Harry) Hinch, Dina (Brent) Goldfaden, Christopher McGee, Jonathan McGee Sr., Mark (Laurie) McGee, Robert McGee, Michael McGee and Theresa (Jeff) Patty; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert McGee, and daughter, Barbara Toth.
Friends are welcome from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at GILBERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 412-672-6322, Troy J. Gilbert, director. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Nick Poole will be officiating. Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
