James D. Bruno Obituary
James D. Bruno, 88, of Trafford, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, peacefully in his home with his family by his side. Jim was born March 27, 1928, in Trafford, a son of the late Dominico and Frances (Madorm) Bruno. Jim was employed with Westinghouse Airbrake Co. (WABCO) Rubber Plant in Wilmerding and retired after 42 years of service. He owned a successful floral business for 24 years. He was Navy veteran, having served during World War II. Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Pearl Pieniadz (Walt); and his brother, Joseph Bruno. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary (Nalevanko) Bruno; his children, Pamela Kearns (Rick), Dominick "Dino" Bruno (Karen), Frank Bruno (Angela) and Ralph Bruno (Nicole); his 10 grandchildren, Brian, Jason and Tim Kearns, Matt, Michael, Tyler, Breanna, Carleigh, Nicholas and Colton Bruno; his seven great-grandchildren, Reno, Malia, Vienna, Niomi, Penelope and Adelina Kearns and Maria Bruno; his sister, Eva Jane Schneider (Ken); his sister-in-law, Janet Bruno; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday in the JOHN M. DOBRINICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 702 7th St. (State Route 130), Trafford, 412-372-3111. Parting prayers will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Regis Church, Trafford, with Father Thomas Dansak as celebrant. Interment with military honors will follow in the New St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles.
