Jewel Janci, 90, of North Huntingdon, died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016, at The Donnell House in Washington. She was born Aug. 23, 1926, daughter of the late Andrew and Josephine Rosevitek. She was a member of St. Agnes Church. Prior to retirement, Jewel was employed as a manager in the State Unemployment Office with 30 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 2013; one brother, Paul Rosevitik; and four sisters, Nancy Rosevitik, Mary Petruska, Katheryn Tuskan and Mildred Suvak. She is survived by one son, Robert A. and his wife, Kathleen, of West Newton; daughter, Donna Gruhalla and her husband, Thomas, of Coal Center; four grandchildren, Paul (Kristen) Janci, Anna Janci and Thomas (Andrea) Gruhalla and Steven (Ashley) Gruhalla; two great-granddaughters, Megan Janci and Caroline Gruhalla; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Agnes Church, North Huntingdon. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Port Vue.

So sorry for your loss. Jewel was truly a Jewel. She was a patron of mine at my Beauty Salon in the Mid 70's, and I wished all my patrons were as special as her.
