Robert J. Condron Obituary
Robert J. Condron (nee Leese) passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018. Bob was born Jan. 23, 1931, to the late Elsie Randall Leese and Robert Leese. His father passed when Bob was 3 years old. Bob later became the much loved adopted son of Ira Condron, gaining a huge loving family in the Condrons, Lukeharts and Andersons. His family grew even more under the loving care of the Senecals: Leon "Pup" and Ruth "Mom" Senecal; his sister, Betty (Pete) Pederson; and brothers, Vance (Marion), Leon (Erva) and Gus (Pat) Senecal. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Evans Condron. He will be sadly missed by his loving family: his wife, Tina; his children, Sally Hilton, Suzanne (Anthony) Zanoni, David (Diane) Condron and Laura (Octavio) Flores; and his grandchildren, Lauren Hilton, Isabella and Joseph Zanoni, Nathanael and Elise Condron, and Daniel and Monica Flores. Bob taught math in Fox Chapel Area schools, where he later became a school principal, the last being at Fairview Elementary School. At different times, he enjoyed coaching football and soccer and teaching students how to play chess in their free time. He was a pool manager at the Chapel Gate Swim Club and the manager of the Fox Chapel Racquet Club, where he took up tennis, which he LOVED. He also loved his church, Community United Methodist Church of Aspinwall. He was a lay leader, a conference representative, a Sunday school teacher, and did anything else that was needed. It was a second home for him. Bob would help anyone who needed him and was known for his beautiful smile, which will be missed by many. Bob served in the Korean Conflict as a forward observer in 1951. He was a proud Marine.
