Richard W. Milliman(1923-03-02 - 2008-11-24)

Richard W. Milliman, 85, of Connellsville, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, at Highlands Hospital. He was born March 2, 1923, in Wilmerding, a son of the late Clarence and Geneva (Fails) Milliman. Richard was a veteran of World War II, where he served with the Army's 262 Signal Construction Company. Prior to his retirement, in 1987, he was employed by Allied Mills and Continental Grain in Everson. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Connellsville. He is survived by his children, Alice K. Milliman, of Virginia, Dennis A. Milliman and his wife, Barbara, of Connellsville, John Milliman and his wife, Eileen, of North Carolina, Ruth Ann Stout and her husband, Gary, of Connellsville, and Robert Milliman, of North Carolina; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Florence C. Milliman; and two sisters. Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME INC., 418 North Pittsburgh St., Connellsville, where a blessing service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday. A Funeral Mass will follow at 9:30 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville, with Father Ron Cyktor Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery, Connellsville, with full military rites accorded at graveside by American Legion Posts 301 and 762 and VFW Post 21.
