Betty Fritz Obituary
Betty (Ramsey) Fritz, 92, of Latrobe, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, at Walnut Ridge Memory Care, Greensburg. Born Oct. 11, 1926, in Derry, she was a daughter of the late Charles H. Ramsey and Mary N. (Cross) Ramsey. Betty was a member of Latrobe Presbyterian Church. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Latrobe Area Hospital and was previously employed at the former McGinnis Hospital, Ligonier. Betty was an avid golfer and was a member at Ligonier Country Club and Continental Country Club in Florida, but most of all, she loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Fritz; three sisters, N. Louise Blair, Twila McCombs and Mary Brezo; and one brother, Charles H. Ramsey. Betty is survived by two daughters, Deborah F. Gregor and her husband, David, of South Lake, Texas, and Susan F. Koski and her husband, Keith, of Latrobe; one brother, Robert Ramsey and his wife, Jacki, of Florida; one sister, Sara Jean Winston, of Greensburg; five grandchildren, Aimee Fissette and her husband, John, Mark Gregor, Emily McMahen and her husband, Adam, Jesse Koski and his wife, Lauren and David Koski and his wife, Elizabeth; eight great-grandchildren, Liam and Mallory McMahen, Reid and Quinn Koski, Evelyne and Maren Koski, and Jace and Norah Gregor.
Family and friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Unity Chapel, 114 Chapel Lane, Latrobe. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at Unity Chapel with her pastor, the Rev. Clark R. Kerr, officiating. Interment will follow at Unity Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe.
