Carol Y. "Bonnie" Swink, 72, of Connellsville, died Saturday, April 3, 2021 at her home. She was born Aug. 18, 1948, in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Marshall "Rink" and Mary Catherine Sines Keefer. Early in her life, Bonnie worked at Connellsville Sportswear. She was a self-employed beautician for many years and she was the owner and administrator of the Pleasant Valley Personal Care Home in Bullskin Township. Bonnie greatly enjoyed sports, especially NASCAR, the Penguins and Steelers and she enjoyed watching her grandchildren and attending their sporting events. She also greatly loved cars, especially her white, classic Ford convertible. She attended the Paradise United Methodist Church and the Anchored Fellowship Church in Uniontown. She is survived by her husband, James M. Swink Sr.; her children, Lori Richter, of Wooddale, James Swink Jr. and his wife, Michele, of Acme, and Jennifer Wadsworth, of White; her grandchildren, Ryan Richter and his wife, Jennie, of Wooddale, Jessica Kimmel and her husband, Andrew, of Connellsville, Jared Richter, of Wooddale, Jacob Swink, of Acme, and Jesse Swink and his wife, Kelsie, of Dunbar; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Dawn Keefer, of Wooddale, Carla Keefer, of Wooddale, Madelyn Small and her husband, Gilbert, of Connellsville, Carol Filburn and her husband, Ronald, of Connellsville and Judy Boyd, of Scottdale; and many nieces and nephews, their families and her pet dog, Madison Rose. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Marshall 'Butch" Keefer and Thomas Scott Keefer; two sons-in-law, Dave Richter and Jeff Wadsworth; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Melvin and Gertrude Swink; brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Jean Swink and brother-in-law, Ed Boyd. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2021 and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 111 East Green St., Connellsville, where services will be held Thursday, April 8, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Roger Howard officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Organization of Rare Disorders National Headquarters, Connecticut office, 55 Kenosia Ave., Danbury, CT 06810.
