Daniel Patrick Miller, 75, of McKeesport, passed away at home Friday, April 30, 2021. Born Feb. 26, 1946, in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Patrick C. and Alberta (McClure) Miller. He was a retired steelworker at U.S. Steel National Tube Works, in McKeesport, who also was a co-owner of Mr. Chips Cafe in the Pittsburgh Courthouse and served as a pit crew member for Chip Ganassi's Formula 4 racing team. He was also a Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam War, a member and past commander of the American Legion Post 577 of McKeesport, a scuba diver and avid Steelers fan. Daniel is survived by his sisters, Kathleen (Ray) Takacs, of North Huntingdon, and Patricia (Chuck) Evans, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; his brothers, Ken (Patricia) Miller, of Lisbon, Ohio, and Thomas (Susan) Miller, of Maumee, Ohio; and also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 9 until 11 a.m. Friday, May 7, 2021, in the DANIEL F. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 4504 Walnut St., Versailles, McKeesport, PA 15132, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at noon in Immaculate Conception Parish, Irwin, with Father John Moineau officiating. Procession and burial with military honors will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Irwin. www.bekavacfuneralhome.com.
