Dolores F. Durbiano Obituary
Dolores F. (Gaudi) Durbiano, 95, of Greensburg, went to meet her Lord Friday, Jan. 11, 2019, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born March 24, 1923, in Jeannette, daughter of the late Paul and Anna (Balog) Gaudi. She attended Jeannette High School, where she was a drum majorette, graduating in 1941. Dolores went on to marry the love of her life, Edward Durbiano, with whom she raised a family of four children. Dolores worked for Kaufmann's for a number of years and in 1980, they opened and operated the Hallmark Card Gallery, Irwin, until Dolores retired and sold the business in 2004. Dolores was a member of Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, Greensburg for more than 52 years.Dolores loved and enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed time at their vacation home at Deep Creek Lake, Md., various vacation trips and wintering in Florida. Dolores was an avid sports fan, who enjoyed watching and cheering for her favorite Pittsburgh sports teams, as well as attending the many family gatherings. Dolores was predeceased by her parents; and her beloved husband of 52 years, Edward, who died in 1996; also her son, Roger; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert (Gloria) Gaudi and Bernard (Maggie) Gaudi. She is survived by her daughter, Carol (Nicholas) DeBello; her sons, Dennis (Penelope) and David (Tonya); and her daughter, Christine Waltz. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kristin DeBello, Daniel (Lindsey) DeBello, Douglas (Lauren) DeBello and Patrick McMahan; stepgranddaughter, Kayla Repasky; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Zeni Anna and Benjamin Bradway, Carina, Matteo, Brody and Ava DeBello; and her brother, Paul (Dora) Gaudi; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral home visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at the JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 228 North Second St., Jeannette. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon at Our Lady of Grace Church, 1011 Mt. Pleasant Road, Greensburg, with Father Daniel Blout as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Dolores to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, 126 S. Main St., Greensburg, PA 15601, or to Our Lady of Grace Church.
