Dolores Irene "Dolly" Pickels Walker, 86, of Apollo, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016, at Fairwinds Manor, in Sarver. She was born March 19, 1930, in Apollo, the daughter of the late Walter Raleigh and Edith M. Blystone Pickels. Dolly was a homemaker who enjoyed trips to Florida, flower gardening, Bingo and especially time spent with her family. She is a member of the New Beginnings Methodist Church in Apollo. Dolly is survived by three children, Carol Ann Egley and her husband, Richard, of Apollo, Patricia "Patti" Doland and her husband, Fred, also of Apollo, and Jeffrey Dale Walker and his wife, Cindy, of Vandergrift; four grandchildren, Amy Eddinger and her husband, George, of Sarver, Jason Reigh and his partner, David Stoker, of Glenshaw, Stacy Panchik and her husband, Chris, of Kittanning, and Chris Doland and his wife, Tabitha, of Lower Burrell; and seven great-grandchildren, Mason, Brady, Emily, Ben, Jacob, Sarah and Maxwell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Foster Walker, in 2002; three sisters, Harriet Long, Mary Daniels and Gayle Floyd; and two brothers, John and June Pickels.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2016, in the KELLY L. CORRIDONI FUNERAL HOME LTD., 1916 Moore Ave., North Apollo. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016, in the funeral home. Pastor Sara Wrona will officiate. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Apollo.
