Dora V. Seamens, 86, of Greensburg, passed away Monday, May 3, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Oct. 3, 1934, in Greensburg, the daughter of the late Patsy and Josephine Vallano. After graduating from Greensburg High School, she started her career as a dental assistant. In 1957, her marriage to Charles Seamens, a Naval aviator, took her to many adventurous areas of the world, where they began their family before returning to Greensburg in 1967. Dora was a loving, devoted mother and wife. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral and a volunteer for Westmoreland Hospital Auxiliary. She and her husband, Chuck, loved to travel. Her most wonderful memories were of trips to Morocco, Ireland, Paris, Hawaii and Italy. Subsequently, in retirement, they spent their time in both Sarasota, Fla., and Greensburg, building wonderful memories with their children and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, John, Alfred and Richard; and sisters, Pauline, Nora and Regina. She is survived by her husband of 64 years; as well as her brother, Tom (Joanne) Vallano; and sister, Rosemarie (Tom) Evans. She is also survived by her children, Chuck (Kelli) Seamens, Sueanne (Enzo) Zoratto, Marcia (Larry) Walsh and Kristen (Geoff) Kurland; and grandchildren, Patrick (Madison) Seamens, Alexandra (Gilberto) Navarro, Olivia Zoratto, Julia Zoratto and Leigh (Mark) Miller. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Miller Seamens and Audrey, Lance and Kate; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be private. KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME was trusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or stjude.org. I'm so sorry to hear of Aunt Dora's death. I always loved seeing her and her wonderful family. She was a loving aunt and a devoted wife and mother. Her beauty and smile were stunning in and of themselves, but also because they came from within her. It's a real tribute to Aunt Dora that she leaves behind so many cherished memories. May you take comfort in all you shared together. Carole Demilio (niece and cousin)
