Mona Jean Marzullo, 83, of Lower Burrell, passed away Sunday, Feb. 14, 2021, surrounded by her family in UPMC St. Margaret Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born Oct. 22, 1937, in New Kensington, to the late Ralph John Abraham Sr. and Agnes Marie Callaghan Abraham and was a lifelong resident of the local area. Mrs. Marzullo was a member of Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington, the Burrellton Women's Club and the Italian Sons and Daughters of America (ISDA). She enjoyed shopping, collectables, antiques and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Eugene Vincent Marzullo Sr., children, Pamela (Timothy) Clark, of Lower Burrell, Eugene "Buzzy" (Renee) Marzullo Jr., of Parkland, Fla., Joseph (Betty Ann) Marzullo, of Lower Burrell, Kimberly (Albert) Gerthoffer, of Lower Burrell, and Gary Marzullo, of New Kensington, grandchildren, Joseph Marzullo, Alysia Clark, Nicholas Marzullo, Tanner Marzullo, Madison Gerthoffer and Abigail Gerthoffer, great-granddaughters, Aniya Marzullo and Ne'Vaeha Marzullo, sister, Audrey (John) Bordonaro, of Pottsville, brothers, Ralph (Kathy) Abraham, of Freeport, Kevin Abraham, of New Kensington, and grand-dog, Oliver, whom she referred to as "Little Man". In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Abraham. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at THE RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder St., where prayers of transfer will be said at 9:30 a.m. Friday followed by Christian funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Mt. St. Peter Church. Masks and COVID guidelines required. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations made in her name to UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, 5115 Centre Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15232, St. Anthony's Chapel, 1704 Harper St., Pittsburgh, PA 15212, or Mt. St. Peter Church, 100 Freeport Road, New Kensington, PA 15068.
