Priscilla Stewart Obituary
Priscilla Stewart, 69, of Allegheny Township, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side, Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019. Known by friends and family for her endless joy, beaming smile and sparkling personality, Priscilla was always the brightest light in any room. Her family will miss her constant laugh, ongoing support and loving encouragement the most. Though her decades-long career included positions with GMAC, Clarke American, Mellon Bank, the Tampa Tribune and the Pittsburgh and Greensburg Tribune-Review, Priscilla's favorite work was at home, where decorating projects and gardening filled her free time. She also appreciated a crisp glass of wine. She most looked forward to summertime activities outdoors, family vacations and her annual trip overseas with her son, Philip. Priscilla is survived by her son, Philip Stewart; sister, Phyllis Creer; brother, Frederick Evans II; nieces and nephew, Melissa Bruner, Tasha Shupe, Brandee Hollis, Matthew Bechtel and Katelyn Bechtel; as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Bechtel; and her parents, Frederick and Dolores (Mills) Evans.
A service in memory of Priscilla will be held Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019, in Bethesda Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3084 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell. The memorial reception will begin at 1 p.m., followed by a celebration of life service at 1:30 p.m. Professional services are trusted to THOMAS M. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY LTD., Blawnox.
