Rita Ann Freuchtel, 90, of Delmont, formerly of Murrysville, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at St. Anne Home, Greensburg. She was born Sept. 25, 1930, in Turtle Creek, daughter of the late John and Julia Sullivan Kuth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles "Sonny" Freuchtel Jr.; and a sister, Catherine Carpenter. Rita Ann was a member of Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville, where she was a lector for many years. She volunteered for the Ladies Auxiliary and the Ladies Guild. She also was a member of the Murrysville Garden Club and enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends. She is survived by three children, Monica (Lester) Trice, of Greensburg, Charlotte (Dale) Steffey, also of Greensburg, and Chuck (Susan) Freuchtel, of Export; six grandchildren, Melissa Morrison, Dina (Joe) Paulich, Jessica (Mike) Sciullo, Raymond Trice, Heather Costa and Chad (Brittany) Freuchtel; and 11 great-grandchildren, Amedio, Morgan, Damon, Landon, Carter, Addisyn, Giulianna, Logan, Lucas, Colt and Cash. She is also survived by a brother, Dr. John Kuth, of Leechburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2021, at the HART FUNERAL HOME INC., Murrysville. Additional visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville, with a funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Plum Creek Cemetery.
