Robert J. Raabe, 78, of Kittanning, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021, at his home. He was born April 29, 1942, in Verona, Allegheny County, to Robert A. and Oma Belle (Curran) Raabe. Robert lived in Monroeville until relocating to Kittanning in 1999. After obtaining a master's degree in industrial arts, he taught industrial arts and drafting at Woodland Hills School District and enjoyed helping the kids with their various projects. In his free time, Robert could often be found fishing, hunting, cabinet making, boating, repairing boats, white water rafting, canoeing and shooting pool with friends. Friends and family will best remember Robert for his willingness to lend a helping hand and how he selflessly gave his time to help others. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Vicki Raabe, who he married on Sept. 24, 2005; son, Jarrod R. Raabe, of Columbus, Ohio; daughters, Michelle Faulk and husband, Robert, of Butler, and Jill Susan Raabe, of Saltsburg; brother, Barry E. Raabe, of Plum; niece, Erica Brennan and husband, Sean, of Plum; nephew, Barret Raabe and wife, Karen, of Plum; and a cousin, Carol Langus, of Pittsburgh. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; the mother of his children, Carol L. (Larkins) Raabe, who passed away on June 28, 2020; and his sister-in-law, Patty P. Raabe. The family wishes for services to be private. Arrangements are being handled by BAUER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES INC.
