Rosemary (Loeffler) Daugherty, 92, of East McKeesport, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021. She was born Jan. 25, 1929, in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Albert and Gertrude (Jaycox) Loeffler, and was also preceded in death by her husband, William M. Daugherty; and a sister, Mavis Fuhr. She was a member of Mary Mother of God Parish (formerly St. Robert Bellarmine Church, East McKeesport) where she was a member of the church choir for more than 40 years. She also sang in the Heinz Chapel Choir at her beloved University of Pittsburgh and had a lifelong love of music. Rosemary was a former secretary at Auberle Home. She looked forward to her annual family vacation in her home away from home, Stone Harbor, N.J. Surviving are her children, John (Joann) Daugherty, of Wake Forest, N.C., James (Pennie) Daugherty, of Brownsville, Daniel (Grace) Daugherty, of Murrysville, Gerald (Kristin) Daugherty, of Belle Vernon, and Diane (Jeff) McNeill, of East McKeesport; beloved family members, Denise Dillinger and Terri Shedlock; her grandchildren, Jeremy (Emily) Daugherty, Stephanie Daugherty, Melissa (Aaron) Myers, Allison Daugherty, Casey (Justin) Lewis, Shea (Patrick) McGraw, Shannon (Justin) Abraham, Amy McNeill, Joshua McNeill, Ryan Daugherty, Christopher Daugherty, Jaxson Daugherty, Riley Daugherty and Dane Daugherty; her great-grandchildren, Ellis, Caldwell, Mason, Campbell Rose and Harrison; siblings, Alan (Margie) Loeffler, of Georgia, Melissa Wallace, of Greentree, and Carolyn McMinn, of New York; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the FORGIE-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 1032 Broadway, East McKeesport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at St. Robert Bellarmine Church. Interment will follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery. Diane, I remember your Dad so well. He and my husband Dom were really good friends.Bill smiled all the time and made everyone smile back at him. Your mom was the perfect one for him. A lovely kind lady who I will always see as a loving supportive wife, great mother and grandmother. She was special.
