Viola E. (Schehr) Emili, 95, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, May 5, 2021, in Weatherwood Manor. She was born Nov. 5, 1925, in Rillton, a daughter of the late Frank and Hannah Plues Schehr. Viola was a member of St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree. She also was a volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul and a member of the Crabtree VFD Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Emili; three brothers, August, Joe and Frank Schehr; and a sister, Elizabeth Brocco. She is survived by her two sons, Jerry Emili (Barbara), of Greensburg, and Don Nazzareno Emili (Ana), of Doylestown; two granddaughters, Jessica Emili-Jonnet (Shawn) and Giovanna Emili; a great-grandson, Brendan Jonnet, who was her pride and joy; a brother, Dean Schehr (Cathy), of North Huntingdon; a sister-in-law, Ceil Antinori (John), of Latrobe; two brothers-in-law, Dr. Gregory Grabiak, of Latrobe, and Robert Marto, of Greensburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. At Viola's request, there will be no public viewing. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Viola's funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree, with Father Justin Matro, OSB, celebrating. Private interment will follow in Calvary Hill Cemetery, Crabtree. Keeping with CDC guidelines, those attending the funeral are required to wear face masks and practice social distancing.
