Wilhelmina "Mina" (Pfeiffer) Himich, 94, of Latrobe, passed away Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019, at her home. Born Aug. 17, 1924, in Mollenauer Mine No. 3 in Bethel Park, she was a daughter of the late Joseph J. Pfeiffer and Wilhelmina (Clark) Pfeiffer. Mina was a member of St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree, and she was also a member of the Senior Citizens of New Alexandria. She was an avid bingo player, enjoyed crafting, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael R. Himich; a son-in-law, Joseph F. Rocco Sr.; five brothers, Joseph, August, Raymond, Benjamin and James Pfeiffer; and six sisters, Jenny Pfeiffer, Christina Bosco, Barbara Jackson, Catherine Lynn, Amelia Groves and Margaret Ricketts. Mina is survived by one son, Michael J. Himich, of Latrobe; two daughters, Judy Butz and her husband Tom, of Latrobe, and Chris Rocco, of Latrobe; five grandchildren, Brenda Christeleit and her husband Richard, John Butz and his wife Lisa, Michael Rocco and his wife Providenza, Joe Rocco Jr. and his wife Kori, and Steve Rocco and his wife Becca; and 10 great-grandchildren, Devon, Erika, Cameron, Ivy, Richie, Kailyn, Garin, Joseph, Nicoletta and Frank.
Family and friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. A funeral liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Justin Matro, OSB, officiating. Interment will follow at St. Clair Cemetery.

Wilhelmina's loss is much felt. She lived and loved a long and meaning-filled life with courage and determination. What a reward in great grandchildren to whom she bequeathed those qualities. May your many memories override your present sadness. Psalms 90!
