Willard Blaine White, of Lycippus, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Friday, April 2, 2021, at the age of 89. Blaine, originally of White, is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Virginia Chearney White, as well as five children, Lawrence and wife, Michelle White, of Carlsbad, Calif., Doug and wife, Kelly White, of Phoenix, Ariz., Brenda White, of Cave Creek, Ariz., Lisa and husband, Gary Weightman, of Apollo, and Michelle White, of Latrobe. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Chelsea White, of San Francisco, Calif., Patrick and Joshua White, of Milpitas, Calif., Jennifer Clark Soto, of Anson, Texas, Roger Clark, of Stahlstown, and Caitlin, Ethan and Miranda Weightman, of Apollo. Blaine is also survived by four great-grandchildren, as well as his brother, Arnold, and wife, Peggy Barnes, of Latrobe. Blaine was predeceased by his parents, Walter White and Mary Eutsey White Barnes, and daughter, Debra White. He was also predeceased by siblings, Norma Jean Henry, Betty Dewitt, Walter White, Regis White, Doris Keslar, Shirley Kantorik, Delbert Barnes, Charles Barnes and Larry Barnes. Blaine retired from Industrial Ceramics Inc. (formerly Westinghouse), of Derry, after 30 years of service, and previously worked for Moon Construction of Connellsville. He also served in the Army at the conclusion of the Korean War. Blaine enjoyed playing card games and board games with his family. He held popular yard sales at the corner in Lycippus. He also enjoyed annual fishing trips to Canada with his sons and brother, Regis, and nephew, Mark. He was a longtime member of the Mt. Pleasant Volunteer Fireman's Club, American Legion and VFW. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor Kevin Meyers officiating. Interment will follow in the Keslar Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the Mt. Pleasant American Legion and VFW Honor Guard. All those attend please know that the family prefers you wear a mask and practice social distancing.
