David Cook Obituary

David Lee Cook Sr., 70, of Scottdale, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, in Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. David was born May 8, 1944, in Filbert, a son of the late Robert M. Cook and Norma Pennington. He married the former We Su Kang on Jan. 31, 1974. David was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served as a SP5 with the Army and was awarded the Bronze Star and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster. He and his wife were members of the Korean Central Church of Pittsburgh and he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. David will be sadly missed by his loving family; his wife of 40 years, We Su Kang Cook; his two sons, David Lee Cook Jr., of Youngwood, and Eugene Thomas Cook and his wife, Holly, of Scottdale; his two grandchildren, Morgan Ashlee Cook and Eugene Thomas Cook Jr.; his brother, Eugene George Zuzak and his wife, Diane, of Mt. Pleasant; his sister, Staci Keller and her husband, Jeff, of Scottdale; and his two nieces, Garnett and Rene Zuzak. Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 Spring St., Scottdale, (1-877-CREMATE / http://www.westmorelandcremationservice.com). At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or visitation and a private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be in the National Veterans Cemetery of the Alleghenies at Bridgeville. Love Lasts Forever!
