Joan Johnson Obituary

Joan Kay (Weaver) Johnson, 77, of Greensburg, died Monday, Dec. 21, 2020. She was born March 4, 1943, in Canton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Laurence A. and Virginia J. (Scott) Weaver. Joan worked as a seamstress, a security guard, and also as a home health care aide. She had participated in a clown ministry and volunteered with the Head Start program. She enjoyed anything to help people out. She is survived by her children, Sheri L. (Stephen Sr.) Perry, of New Stanton, Robert S. Johnson, of Greensburg, and Eric M. (Amanda) Johnson, of Tampa, Fla.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara A. Weaver, of Greensburg. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, at Suburban Community Church, 1787 Arona Road, Irwin, where a funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Canton, Ohio. The WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, Irwin is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a charity of your choice.
