Geraldine "Gerry" Scirotto, 58, of Monessen, died suddenly on Sunday, June 24, 2007, in the emergency room at Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc. She was born in North Charleroi on July 16, 1948, the daughter of Angelina DeJulio Scirotto Eppley, of Cape Canaveral, Fla., and the late James Philip Scirotto. She was a lifelong resident of Monessen and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Larry R. Scirotto, of Pittsburgh; her daughter, Angela M. Scirotto, of Belle Vernon; her dear friend, Rick McPherson, of Monessen; her step-father, William Eppley, of Cape Canaveral; two brothers, Thomas Scirotto and wife Barb, of California, Vincent Scirotto, of Monessen; four sisters, Rosanne Scirotto, of Cape Canaveral, Patty Arnold and husband Kenneth, of Monessen, Annette Amendola, of Pittsburgh, and Luanne and Dwain May, of Cleveland, Ohio; an aunt, Angelina DiMascio and husband Cataldo, of Monessen; a grandson, Giovonni Isbell; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Scirotto. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 441 Reed Ave., Monessen (724-684-8750). Services will be held Thursday, June 28, beginning with a 9:30 a.m. Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord R.C. Church.
