Paul S. Adametz, 76, of Belle Vernon, Washington Township, died Thursday, June 25, 2009, at 7:15 p.m. at Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown. Born Dec. 18, 1932, in Arnold City, he was the son of the late Ladislav and Anna Bartko Adametz. A resident of Washington Township for the past 18 years, Mr. Adametz was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church, Belle Vernon, a veteran of the Korean War, where he served in the U.S. Army, member of the Fayette City American Legion Post 484, AM Vets Post 103, Hopwood and the VFW Post 7023, Perryopolis. He was also a retired mechanic from Lee Norse Co., of Charleroi. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Anna M. Bitonti Adametz; daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Philip J. Savini Jr., of Uniontown; two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul T. and Katrina Adametz, of Seven Fields, Pa.; U.S. Navy Commander John J. and wife, Karen Adametz, of Biloxi, Miss.; three brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Ann Adametz, Michael and Sandy Adametz, and Andrew and Marie Adametz, all of Belle Vernon; two brothers-in-law, Chester Ludwick and Joseph Bitonti, both of Belle Vernon; two sisters-in-law, Kathleen Adametz, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and Elsie Adamec, of Belle Vernon; and five grandchildren, Domenique Marie Savini, Philip Jospeh Savini III, Steven Adametz, Matthew Adametz and J. Spencer Adametz. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, John, Charles, Joseph Adametz, and a sister, Margaret Adametz Ludwick. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, (724) 929-6183. A prayer Service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral mass at St. Sebastian R.C. Church. Entombment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Paul Adametz at 3 p.m. Tuesday and the Fayette City American Legion will conduct services at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening, all in the funeral home.
