Antonette (Manella) Yarussi, 97, of Vandergrift, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021, at home. Born Aug. 18, 1923, in Vandergrift, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Rose Manella. Antonette lived in Vandergrift all of her life, and was a member of St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church, Vandergrift. She worked as a cook and waitress for local bars and restaurants. Antonette enjoyed playing bingo, going to casinos and walking throughout her neighborhood. She most loved taking care of, and spending time with, her family. In addition to her parents, Antonette was preceded in death by her husband, Oswald A. Yarussi, who passed away on March 2, 2010; son, Ronald Yarussi; brother, Victor Manella; and sister, Adeline Kristich. Antonette is survived by her son, Michael (Denise) Yarussi, of Allegheny Township; grandchildren, Adam, Roni, Becky and Steven; six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. At the family's request, all services are private. A blessing service followed by entombment in St. Gertrude Mausoleum will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the BRADY-CURRAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., Vandergrift. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
