James M. Cornman Jr., 56, of Freeport, peacefully passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. Jim was born Dec. 26, 1962, in Natrona Heights, a son of the late Margaret E. (Valasek) and James M. Cornman Sr. He worked for over 20 years as a mechanic with American Beverage Corp. in Verona. Jim was an amateur archeologist. He loved looking for arrowheads and other artifacts. He enjoyed watching the Penguins, and making and watching fireworks. Jim is survived by his longtime companion, Crystal A. Brendle; his son, James M. Cornman III and his companion, Amber; and his brother, Troy A. and Chrissy Cornman Sr., of Allegheny Township. He is also survived by his stepmother, Denise Cornman; nephew, Troy A. Cornman Jr.; niece, Miranda Cornman; and two stepsisters, Shanna Febinger and Kerri Febinger. Family and friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, in the REDMOND FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 High St., Freeport. Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. following the visitation in the funeral home, with Pastor Adam Clever, of United Presbyterian Church of Freeport, officiating.
