Margaret F. "Peggy" (Hensel) Michaels, 52, of Brackenridge, passed away Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a brief illness. She was born Sept. 8, 1965, in Harrison Township, daughter of Rose Marie (Thimons) Hensel, of Tarentum, and the late Henry P. "Harry" Hensel Jr. Peggy lived her entire life in Brackenridge and Tarentum, and was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights, where she was an usher. She graduated from St. Joseph High School, Natrona Heights, and held two associate degrees in accounting and child care from Community College of Allegheny County. Peggy enjoyed family gatherings, flower arranging and board games, and was an excellent artist. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 25 years, Timothy Michaels; her siblings, Mary Rose Hensel, of Tarentum, Jo Ann (Mark) George, of Lower Burrell, Michael P. (Suzan) Hensel, of Frazer Township, Judith M. (Joseph) Strehlen, of Irwin, and Matthias J. "Matt" Hensel, of Tarentum. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews, Julie (Matthew) Smith, Justin, Shane and Kaitlin Hensel, and Sara Strehlen; and three great-nieces, Cassidy, Delaney and Marlee Smith.
At the request of the family, there will be no public visitation; however, all relatives and friends are invited at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, to attend a Christian Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church, Harwick, with the Rev. Alan E. Morris officiating. Everyone please meet at church. Burial will be private in Sacred Heart-St. Peter Cemetery, Tarentum.
