Ralph J. Ritter Obituary
Ralph J. Ritter, 91, of Lower Burrell, passed away Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Ritter; his wife of 63 years in 2010, Rose Marie Ritter; brothers, James Ritter and George Ritter; and a sister, Anna Gould. Ralph worked at the Cheswick Power Station Duquesne Light Co. for more than 35 years. He also ran a repair service out of his home. He was a World War II Navy veteran, serving on the USS Midway, member of St. Margaret Mary Church, and where he enjoyed working on the food bank, life member of VFW Post 92, life member of American Legion Post 868 and member of IBEW, serving on executive board and as a vice president. His hobbies included fishing and hunting. Ralph is survived by his two sons, Edward (Linda) Ritter, of Leechburg, and David (Kelly) Ritter, of Williamsport, Pa.; proud grandfather of Keri Ritter and Rachael Ritter, of Williamsport; a brother, Charles Ritter, of Dayton, Ohio; a sister, Rose Marie Ritter, of Verona; also, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Family and friends were received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the FRANK F. GIGLER FUNERAL HOME INC., Robert P. Karish, supvr., 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, PA 15068, 724-335-6500. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Margaret Mary Church, Lower Burrell. Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.
