Virginia E. "Ginny" (Pollick) Van Den Heuvel, 73, of Natrona Heights, formerly of Allegheny Township, passed away peacefully at home Monday, Jan. 11, 2021, surrounded by her children. She was born in 1947, in New Kensington, to the late John E. Pollick Sr. and Helen (Bieranoski) Pollick, and lived in the Valley most of her life. She was a beautician by trade and licensed teacher from Pittsburgh Beauty Academy. Ginny was a 1965 graduate of Kiski Area Senior High School, who later attended liberal arts courses at the Community College of Allegheny County, Boyce Campus. She enjoyed home decorating, faith missions and Gospel music. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Larry E. Van Den Heuvel. Ginny was the beloved mother of Sharon L. (llyess) Hadj Romdhane, of Woodbury, Minn., Kimberly A. (Joseph Jr.) Munko, of Freeport, and Nichole E. Mullens (Chris Zola), of Norton, Ohio; and grandchildren, Brandon A. Hadj Romdhane, of Woodbury, Minn., Brittany S. (Lloyd) Time, of Woodbury, Minn., and Alexander M. (Rachel) Klazon, of Leechburg; and great-grandmother to Ember L. Time. Family and friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the FRANK F. GIGLER FUNERAL HOME INC., Robert P. Karish, supervisor, 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, PA 15068, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. Masks are required. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Family Hospice (part of UPMC) and Citizens Hose Fire-Rescue-EMS, Station 167 of Natrona Heights.
