Sereno Reck Obituary

Sereno J. Reck Jr., 62, of Export, died unexpectedly Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, in Forbes Regional Health Center, Monroeville. He was born Feb. 26, 1951, in Jeannette, the son of the late Sereno and Anne (Vallozzi) Reck. He was the grandson of the late Peter Fagganni. Sereno was a landscaper by trade for 50 years until establishing Sereno Reck and Son Inc. to begin working with his son doing heating and air-conditioning work. He was a lifelong member of St. Mary Church, Export, the Italian American Club, Export, Chicora Moose Family Center, Universal Moose and Western PA Moose Legion 1, the Oil City Moose Family Center, White Valley Athletic and SocialClub ("Big Club"), social member of the Bolivar Volunteer Fire Company and a former member of the Export Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Diana Lynn; and his cherished children, Sereno III, Bree and Abby. Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the WOLFE-VON GEIS FUNERAL HOME INC., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export, 724-327-1400, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
