Kenneth Kestner Obituary

Kenneth W. Kestner Sr., 68, of Allegheny Township, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013, in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. He was born Feb. 25, 1945, in New Kensington, a son of the late David S. Kestner and Hazel M. (Lloyd) Kestner. He was a molder for Hyde Park Foundry with 47 years of service, retiring in 2007. He enjoyed the outdoors, going to camp, fishing, walking, spending time on his back porch swing, was an avid Steelers fan and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Judy (Guntrum) Kestner; a son, Ken W. Kestner Jr., of Bethel Park; two daughters, Lisa (Randy) Ritchie, of Gilpin Township, and Lori (Vince) Rich, of Leechburg; six grandchildren; two brothers, Samuel Kestner, of Allegheny Township, and Clair (Candy) Kestner, of Freeport; and four sisters, Jane (Samuel) Doverspike, of West Virginia, H. Marlene (Lynn) Campbell, of Duncannon, Pa., Carol (John) Singer, of Baltimore, Md., and Barbara (Tim) Vogle, of Allegheny Township. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, David L. Kestner and Donald R. Kestner. Friends will be welcomed by his family from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at CLAWSON FUNERAL and CREMATION CENTER, 170 Main St., Leechburg (724-842-1051), where funeral ceremonies will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Gary J. Lyon and the Rev. Lisa Lyon co-officiating. Interment will be made in Brookland Cemetery, Allegheny Township, at the convenience of the family.
