Stella V. Cisek, 90, died unexpectedly in her home Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, in Warren. Stella was born Aug. 20, 1926, to Chester and Josephine (Kozlowski) Swierczewski. She lived the first half of her life in New Kensington, where she worked for many years in the warehouse at Central (later Thrift) Drugs. She then moved to Warren after her second marriage. She was passionate about her Catholic faith and upbringing, attending Mass on a Sunday or holy day without fail. In her younger days, she was as a top-notch bowler and had many trophies to prove it. At holidays, she never wavered in making and sharing her mother's recipes for raisin bread and pierogis and keeping the traditions of her Polish background alive. She delighted in sending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren treat packages for holidays to which they always looked forward. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, infant brother Adam, sisters Jesse and Genevieve, and brothers William, Matthew and Edward. She is survived by her husband, Robert Cisek, of Warren; her daughter, Jessica (Edmond) Mieszkowski; her son, Darryl (Carolyn) Hill; her grandchildren, Tanya (Thierry) Bonnabesse, Natasha Mieszkowski, and Michael and Katelyn Hill; and her great-grandchildren, Tessa and Sebastien Bonnabesse.
