Bernice M. Szymanski

Bernice Marie (Campbell) Szymanski, 89, of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday, May 25, 2021, with her family at her side. She was born Aug. 10, 1931, in Ford Cliff, a daughter of the late Alvin and Edith (Lease) Campbell. Bernice was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church, in Natrona Heights. Bernice loved to cook and bake and was an avid Pirates and Steelers fan. She also enjoyed fishing, telling jokes and spending time with her family. Bernice is survived by her children, Elaine (Rodger) Temple, of Natrona Heights, and Kurt Szymanski, of Natrona Heights; grandchildren, Chad Holsing (Tanya Curtis), Bryan (Erin) Holsing, Danielle (Doug) Gasperic, Kurt Szymanski Jr., Heidi Szymanski (Eric Davis) and Bobbi Jo Graham; step-grandchildren, Ainslie (Gary) Cooper and Jeffrey (Shannon) Temple; 15 great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard J. "Moon" Szymanski, Oct. 28, 2019; brothers, Alvin Campbell Jr., Harry Campbell and Norman Campbell; and by her sisters, Mildred Crytzer and Gwen Livengood. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Friday in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights, with the Rev. Aaron J. Kriss as celebrant.
