Tacoma, Washington - Beloved wife, mother and grandmother
Betty was born in Tacoma, Washington and was raised by Walt and Lea for the first 6 years of her life. She had a love of reading and winning at Scrabble. Betty loved spending her summers swimming out at American Lake. Growing up she lived in downtown Tacoma and attended Stadium High School. She worked at Washington Steel where she met lifelong friends.
She met the love of her life, Kenny Webb, and they were married from 1942 until his passing in 2003. Many memories were made in their home and much love was shared with friends and family. In 2005 Betty moved to an apartment in Puyallup. She was an avid storyteller and was beloved by all who knew her.
Predeceased by her parents, Dave and Helen Penn, brother, Dave Penn and sister, Frances Skaanes.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Judy Smitley of San Jose, CA and son Jim (Dottie) Webb of Puyallup, WA. She is also survived by her grandchildren: LaVon (Anthony), David (Luenna), Charleen (Robert), Chris (Leslie), Julia, Shauni (Phil) and Debra. Betty also had 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter and 1 nephew, Jack Skaanes.
