It was my privilege to be Brian's elementary school principal and, in recent years, to share conversations during weekly visits to him with our therapy dog, Griff. Brian was always warm, positive, and unfailingly courteous. We talked about pizza, among other things, and shared many smiles as he lifted my spirits. I will miss his bright light.
