Please accept my condolences for the loss of your loved one. I was saddened to hear of Sonya's passing. We met in the mid to late '70s when she and I joined the Evergreen Orff Chapter as a founding member. We played, sang and learned together in many workshops and courses (some in Minneapolis & Memphis) for music teachers, and later taught together at Seattle Pacific University in their Orff Schulwerk training courses.
Sonja was always the sweetest person in the world. Everyone loved her. She loved sharing music with her students, and always did so with heartfelt joy. The last time we worked together was to plan sessions for the Carl Orff Canada National Conference held in the early '90s. I will cherish the time we spent together, and I trust that you will, in time remember her without any pain but solely with love.
