Bob, I am very very sorry for your loss.
I have known Steve my entire Life, even before Kindergarten, we grew up together through every grade. His mom was our scout leader. Whenever my parents went on vacation I stayed at either Steve's home or Dan Floyds home (The Three Musketeer's). We did everything together, played in the woods, dug tunnels out back, built forts, camping in tents or the tree house, riding our mini bikes, we even had our own fake radio station which we would record on cassette tapes an play back and laugh. Then later we got into cars, building hot rods and cruising the Puyallup Loop. His Dad, Mom and Sister were always fun to be with, whether it was going to dinner or helping Steve open his Christmas presents, he always got the coolest stuff. Steve and I would scour the neighborhood looking for recyclables to make money, his dad used to call us the Sussman Brothers, because of all the junk we would collect!
One time we had the brilliant idea to build a swimming pool right in the middle of his mom's freshly planted garden. We dug this huge hole and filled it with water, and it instantly became a hole of liquid mud. When his mom came home we were in so much trouble, we were literally black from the mud!
Steve was a genius and could do anything mechanical, and would figure it out. He would always help me on projects. I have so many wonderful memories of him. You will missed my friend, I am so sad.
