BERNECKY – Frances B. Joiner, 83, a longtime resident of Ebensburg, passed away peacefully Aug. 27, 2009, at Good Samaritan Nursing Care Center. Born March 22, 1926, in Blacklick Township, daughter of the late Charles and Grace (Treaster) Marsh. Preceded in death by husbands, Fred Joiner and Samuel Bernecky;   brothers, Alfred, Ben, Lane, Bob, Arch, Bernard "Bum" and Wade Marsh; and grandson, Chris Joiner. Survived by children, Raymond (Susan) Bernecky, Dennis (Lynn) Joiner, Ronald (Sharon) Bernecky and Jenny (John) Bernecky-Everett; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Nancy (Marsh) Kaschalk-Bartram. Longtime member of Ebensburg First Baptist Church. Friends will be received from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10 a.m. Monday at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg, Pastor Douglas Barclay, officiating. Interment at Mount Union Cemetery, Alverda.

Frances was one of the most gentile person I had the pleasure of knowing. I am positive she never uttered a nasty remark to all she knew..We all should imitate her kindness to one another. May God comfort you in the loss of your mother.
