Dan was a good friend of for almost 60 years. He and I met in 1961 as next door neighbors. We worked together at Blue Chip Stamp. We double dated many times. He was an usher in our wedding in 1965. He helped us move to Porterville in 1968 and then Bishop in 1970. He was always willing to "be there" for my wife and I. Linda and I were Godparents for one of Dan & Penny's kids. Although our careers took us in different directions and to parts of the country we remained in contact over the years. The Lambach's visited us in the mid 1970's when we lived in Quincy. He fell in love with the place and moved the family there when he retired from the LAPD.. We visited he and Penny in Quincy just several years ago and remenised. He was a kind and generous person. He had an outsized personality and an infectious spirit. He was always full of crazy ideas and often acted on them., much to Penny's consternation. There is a hole in my heart because I will never hear his laughter again. Our deepest condolences to Penny and the rest of the Lambach clan. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
