Alan was born on October 3, 1943 and passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2019. Alan was a 1963 graduate of Marcellus High School in Michigan. He served with the United States Navy from 1962-1965, earning the rank of 2nd Class Petty Officer where he served on the USS Boston. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, September 30, 2019, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor William Allison officiating. Burial will follow in Marion National Cemetery in Marion with military honors provided by the United States Navy and the Kokomo VFW Military Rites Team. Jackson Street Commons is a service that provides permanent housing to homeless Veterans. Memorial contributions may be made in Alan's memory to Jackson Street Commons, 322 East Jackson Street, Kokomo.
