Al Chabai was a consistent light in a troubled world for a lot of people, and that certainly includes me. The absolutely best Christman I ever had was at the Chabai home in Albuquerque years ago. While I have attended hundreds of Baseball games, non were better than the one I spent with Al at the Butte Copper Kings game in Butte, Montana long ago. Al Chabai made my life better without a doubt.

I have long enjoyed my e-mail connection with Al and have sorely missed hearing from him for some time. I began to think that it meant bad news and am so sorry to learn that he has gone. As you know, Ed and Al were lifelong friends and never lost their connection. Ann, my thoughts are with you - he was a wonderful man.
