Art, our friend, was one of few people in our lives who ranked a very special place in our hearts for all times. We lived across the street from "Art & Betty" for approximately 43 yrs. "What gems they both were"! Both of them & their children felt like family to us during those great years. We now live in AZ since 2003, but we will never forget those wonderful, loving friends/neighbors. "Art, we will meet again someday & have that happy reunion".
Our love goes out to the family & friends with their loss. Love Faye & Chuck Hamel

"Big Art" is a person who I will always remember. I've known "Big Art" since the advent of rat racing in the Detroit area."Big Art" was always willing to help you with any problem that you might have. I will always remember the Friday nights that myself, John Kilsdonk, and Gary Hepfinger would go over to "Big Arts" house and go down into the basement and discuss model airplanes. Most of the time "Big Art" was doing something on the lathe to get that little bit extra out of a HP40. "Big Art" was a master at doing that. The modeling arena has lost a true friend.
I wish to send my condolences to his family Archie, David, Dennis, Allen, and Marie.

91 years of a life well loved.
I cannot help but smile when I think of Uncle Art. I am sorry for the loss and greatly appreciate the privilege of being the recipient of his time and several of his amazing hugs.

I will always remember you Art , you were a shining light and a source of inspiration to me. It was my great fortune to be able to call you my friend . My wife and I reminisced of the times we saw you , and we both will grieve and miss you very much.

"Big Art" came here for a judge's clinic -- he was knowledgeable and most interesting. He's been a great supporter of CL Stunt and his family has followed in his fame. I've had the pleasure of working with Dennis to further the use of electric power. My condolences for the fine family he left behind.

The entire Piszar Family is saddened by the passing of our beloved "Uncle" Archie. There are many happy memories of our visits to his and Betty's house as children. For me, it was his basement filled with wonders. As soon as the hugs and hello's were exchanged I would dash down the stairs to stare wide eyed at his collection of model aircraft hanging everywhere, engines on his workbench and trains. What I remember most was that he never once shadowed me down there. He'd come down eventually to check on me and never once did I hear the words, Careful! or Don't touch! or Time to go back upstairs, escape his lips. His trust and good cheer will live on forever in my memory.

Big Art was a person I am proud to have been a close friend. He always had a smile and anything to do with modeling increased the number of wrinkles. Gosh, what a modeler, engines, building and finishes was just a small part of his knowledge that he exposed us to. Very fond memories, Rita and Pete

Great Uncle Art was simply cut from a different cloth- a better one. Ever since I was little I can remember how he could always bring a smile to your face. He wasn't a very large man but he was truly larger than life itself. Along with Great Aunt Betty- together they were always a source of good times, great laughs and were always friendly and compassionate. He was always full of stories that made you laugh so much your sides would hurt. He was truly a man's man and will be missed but never forgotten.

My Uncle Art is one of the most upbeat men I have ever had the pleasure to know. He always had something positive to say whenever we got together. What an honor to have an uncle who was also my neighbor growing up. Double bonus!!! Now I have to learn to make hurka. Isten áldja meg!
