Barbara A. (Sommer) Schifone

Barbara A. (Sommer) Schifone, 78, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Saturday, June 10, 2017. She was the wife of the late Michael Schifone. Daughter of the late Charles and Jetta (Rosenwald) Sommer, she was born and raised in Boston before moving to Stoughton 57 years ago. Barbara was a payroll clerk for Cumberland Farms for 27 years before retiring 7 years ago. She loved animals and enjoyed traveling to Foxwoods. Barbara is survived by her children, Susan Schifone of Stoughton, Michael Schifone, Stoughton FD and his wife Georgia of Brockton, Charles Schifone and his late wife Janice and Jetta Polillio and her husband John all of Stoughton. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services private.
