Berniece Irene Ofczarzak

Berniece Irene (Wright) Ofczarzak, 81, of Bellville, died October 5, 2011 in Brenham Rest Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with Rev. Robert Sorensen officiating. Interment will take place at 11:30 a.m. at Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery in Bellville. The family will receive friends and relatives beginning at 6 p.m. Friday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Berniece was born November 11, 1929 in Sparks, Oklahoma to Charles Westley and LaVonda Ruth (Lilly) Wright. She attended area schools, and was baptized June 9, 1991, with Allyne Derrick as sponsor. On March 27, 1948, she married John Ofczarzak. Berniece enjoyed being a full-time homemaker, as well as a nanny, and also served as a home healthcare worker. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law: Linda and William Wallace, Sr. of Burton and Carol and Donald Rodgers of Bellville; brother, Earl Wright of Cushing Oklahoma, and sister, Bertella Wright Austin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Nathan and Rachel Rodgers, Carol Ann Dawkins, William Wallace, Jr., Aubrey Wallace, Justin Rodgers, and Jacob Rodgers, and great-grandchildren: Laura Dawkins and Tyler Dawkins. Other special friends include Kyrstin Richards, Wayne Reep, and Merlene and Troy Byler and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ofczarzak; brothers: Paul Wright and Billy Wright; sister: Luella Wright Shoemaker; granddaughter, Laura Wendt, and a brother who died in infancy.
