Brian Asenbauer Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 26, 2004.
Passed away in his sleep due to complications of a seizure disorder, Tuesday, October 26, 2004. Brian, the son on Heinrich [Henry] August and Shirley Jean (Cory) Asenbauer, was born during a violent snow storm at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing MI, on January 25, 1967. Brian was an Eagle Scout. Enjoyed bow hunting and country music. He especially enjoyed being with his good friends, Rayne' and Dusty Shafer and Red [Duane] Bright. He was preceded in death by his father, 17 April 2995 and mother, 28 September 1998. He is survived by a brother, Marko-Michael Asenbauer of Oshtemo, MI; sister, Julianne Marie and her husband David William Huss of Paw Paw, MI; two nieces, Lydia Marie Huss and Camille Elise Huss; maternal grandmother, Marian Catherine Cory of Lockwood, MO; an uncle, Robert Vance (Netta) Cory of Lockwood, MO. A service remembering the life of Brian was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. The Rev. Carolin Spragg of Paw Paw United Methodist Church, officiating. Cremation took place at Central Michigan Crematory 27 Oct 2004. Those wishing to make lasting gifts in Brian's name are asked to remember the American Lung Association. My brother, my room-mate, my friend. I still miss him, Marko-Michael Kirk Asenbauer, 16 December 2008. *** I'M FREE Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free. I'm following the path God laid for me. I took his hand when I heard him call. I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day to laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found that place at the close of day. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, ah yes, these things, I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I savored much, good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief; don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me. God wanted me now, he set me free. Author Unknown

My Grandmother (Marian Catharin (Amstutz) Cory uses her attic as a bedroom for her grandchildren. I have spent many in this room and remember it well. It is small but not cramped. When one enters the room you can almost sense the presence of children hear their laughter and whispers. Now that I am older I can smell the the mustiness of little use. The grandchildren are all grown up and don't come as often, The beds are always made and the floor is always swept.S
